Equal Rights.... Equal Opportunities

"This group is better than that one, so they should be the one to perform." "Boys should be the one doing that work." "Girls should just stay at home." "Rich families should be prioritized." "Let the poor ones wait."
Life back then was full of comparisons between two opposite statuses. Boys against girls. Rich against poor ones. Famous people against the simple ones. Wow. Just wow. This was how life ran. There was no such word as equality. Compared from the past to now, when it comes to equality and opportunities, the difference is just about the size of the earth. That's how it differs.
Boys versus girls. Girls back then was known just for indoors. They were not able to do heavy things. They were just for cooking, washing dishes and clothes. and cleaning inside the house, mending clothes, and all other indoor chores. That's it! Just like that. And the boys were the breadwinners! Their family depended on them. They were the only ones who finds job for their family needs. Only they can do works such as driving, plumbing, fixing broken things, axing woods, and all. Only boys. But that was back then. But now, in this generation, it is totally different that it would make people from the past drop their jaws. There's this thing called equal rights and opportunities now. Now, we can see girls plumbing, driving a car for hire, working in a construction site. And many boys today are washing their clothes, washing dishes, cleaning the house, ironing clothes, and all. Amazing isn't it? Also, in this generation, woman also became our president like Cory Aquino and Gloria Arroyo. Women can also enter into political society. That's what we call Girls' Power.
Rich versus poor. All big things came from small things. They say, money makes the world go round. Money can control everything. It can control justice and lives. But not now. Today, the poor ones are given the chance to get the justice they are searching for. Many volunteers are now helping the poor ones fet what tgey deserve to have. That's how life is goin on today.
It is nice to live in a world with equal rights and equal opportunities.

What Did I Learn This Second Grading?

What did I learn? What did I learn? What did I learn?
Our second grading lesson is amazing! It's all about HTML tags and such. I was able to make web pages. I already know how to put images , and hyperlinks on it. I was also able to change the text's font style , size, and color.
I found our lesson quite easy because it's awesome. Really. I enjoyed our lesson. But I still have to train myself in making such things.

ISNHS INTRAMURALS 2014

A crowd in the gymnasium. Crowd around the athletic field. Many buildings were temporarily decorated. Screaming students all over the campus. Some students were in a sports attire, sweaty. What is happening?
September 18, the intamurals officially started. Well, to be honest it wasn't that exciting at first. It was like just an ordinary day for us because in the morning, we had our classes. Then at the afternoon, the opening of the intramurals. The players had a parade all the way to the gymnasium. Then the rest of the program was held at the gymnasium. Nothing exciting. The players had kinda sworn for a clean and friendly game. Selcted students per year level had a performance, the so-called Dance Revolution.
On the second day, the game started with a rain. When I arrived at school, many students surrounded the athletic field to watch the soccer. It was cool to watch to play soccer when it's raining. The game went out more challenging. When I arrived at our classroom, I spotted my non-CAT Officer classmates sitting, watching, playing. I can see the boredom in their faces. I got out to check some more interesting games. We stayed at the gymnasium for the basketball to support the seniors. I used all my voice to cheer for them. At least it was worth it. Seniors won! Woohhooo! Well, that was the best part of the intramurals for me, yet. After the game, we enjoyed the rain. We actually played under the rain. We were dripping wet. It was so much fun. And that's where the weekday ended. The next day was supposedly the third day of the intramurals. But unfortunately, a typhoon hit us. But at least we had time to enjoy and feel the essence of the intramurals.

Incomplete but fun. That's how I describe our intramurals for this year. But I am expecting more exciting intramurals for the following years. Even though I will already leave our school next year.

Teachers: The Stair Rail to Success

“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.”― William Arthur Ward

Do you want to become a lawyer? A doctor? A nurse? An author? An accountant? Or maybe a teacher? Someone's here to help you; our beloved teachers. The stair rail to success. That's what our teachers are. They guide us in every step in our way to the top.
We won't make it to the top without their almighty help. Chalk pieces, blackboard, paper, pen, and books. With these, we're all ready for school. But it's like something's missing. We can't learn with just these things. There's one who would complete the set. The teacher. With their important words and captivating writings, we are all the way to the top. The first step they say. They impart their knowledge to all of us, their students. Every single word is a step towards success. Mathematics, Science, English, TLE, MAPEH, Filipino. Life would be so lame without these. Thanks to our teachers, we are able to learn such things. As we stay in school for about ten hours every day of weekdays, they stand as our second parent. They don't just teach us scientific termsor mathematical values, they also look after us. They treat us like their own childen. Being teacher and parent at the same time is a very difficult task. Especially now, with some stubborn students. Sometimes, we're making their work even harder with our hardheads. But look at them. They have the longest patience you'll ever see. Many admire them, incuding us students, for their extraordinary skills.

Endless patience, words full of knowledge, and many more. No one possesses these but our teachers. They are true heroes. For that, they deserve a salute and endless thank you's.

IMMUNATION

IMMUNATION.It is a play on words on ammunition and immunization. The Science Month Celebration's theme would like our science clubbers to be armed/ to be immune against diseases through imparting knowledge about disease, how they spread, etc. Its goal is not only the science clubbers that benefit from this knowledge but also the school and communities and thus leading to national wellness.
Nowadays, many disease were already known/ discovered. Many were already spread all over the world. Many people had been the victims. Now, it's time to act. No more watching people die because of these terribe diseases. No more sitting on the couch watching television or listening to radios or reading newspapers about the new discovered disease, about the great number of victims, about the undiscoverable cure for these diseases. Now, it's time to stand and impart to the citizens the knowledge you have about diseases, how they spread, and importantly, how to prevent it. With this simple way of imparting knowledge, you can help lessen health problems. Let's not wait for millions of people be the victim of such diseases. Let's now act for the future. Let's help one another. Protecting one takes everyone.

Stop. Stand. Know. Share. Help. Cooperate. Fight. Defend. Rise.

Modern Day Heroes: They Make The Difference

HERO.A person of distinguished courage or ability, admired for brave deeds and noble qualities. One of the best words that describes hero. Don't it only exist in movies or stories? Can someone become one? Can someone fly to save people? Have the keen eye to detect where dangers are? Have excellent ears to hear people shouting for help? Do you believe in these hero stuffs? Well, you should. But not the hero with supernatural abilities. But with extraordinary abilities. Let me introduce to you our Modern Day Heroes.
Upon hearing the magic word, Heroes, many would think about people with cape. People who are incredibly strong that can stop a running train. People who can lift a pack of people. People who can travel in a blink of an eye. Well, these heroes were born through imagination for entertainment. But don't be upset because we have our heroes. Our true heroes. Not born from imagination, but born, literally, to save many people, for real. But not in a supernatural way. To save save in an extraordinary way. Presenting, our modern day heroes: the military men.
Protecting a nation or a country is not easy. It takes one's life to do this. You have to be willing to sacrifice this one life to protect many lives. They chose to leave their own families to do what they promised to do: to protect our nation or country. Being away from family takes a big gut. Their family is a part of their life. But because of their love for their family and country, they chose to take the very dreadful path. They had to travel miles and miles to go to their designations. They had to drill for preparations. They had to avoid complaining for the shortage of food, lack of sleep, and lack of personal hygiene. With these unbearable things, they didn't chose to find another job because of the love they offer to our country. These things were done wholeheartedly by the military men.

Doing good deeds not just for yourself but to everyone deserves to be recognized. They deserve to be called HEROES. Let's all salute for them.
